University of Akron School of Law & Pro Bono Service Award

Our attorneys are graduates of the University of Akron School of Law and we regularly employ University of Akron law school students as law clerks and attorneys.

We support the law school by providing financial assistance, guest lecturing, serving as trial team mock court judges, and participating in the mentoring program. Our commitment to the law school goes beyond our attorneys’ status as alumni; we are dedicated to the education and training of our community’s future lawyers.

Our firm has underwritten the University of Akron School of Law Pro Bono Service Award, which bestows monetary awards to deserving students reporting the highest number of pro bono hours.  Our firm believes in the importance of pro bono work and this gives us an opportunity to reward and encourage students to support the position that everyone in this country should be entitled to excellent legal representation.

The University of Akron School of Law strives to be a leader in pro bono service. Akron Law students have been at the forefront of the effort to deliver legal services to those who do not have access to traditional legal assistance. Akron Law students have been recognized for their exceptional work in this important endeavor.

The Perantinides & Nolan Pro Bono Award is presented each year to the student who has completed the most pro bono service hours in both the full-time and part-time programs.

Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram for as we will post each year's award winners.
