
Michael John Maillis was born in Youngstown, Ohio in 1968. He graduated from Youngstown State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts where he majored in economics and minored in political science. He went on to study at the University of Akron School of Law, graduating in 1995 with a Juris Doctorate degree. He is currently licensed to practice law in Ohio and is admitted to the federal court system.
Mr. Maillis has served as a Stark County Public Defender, Youngstown City Assistant Law Director and Mahoning County Assistant Prosecutor where he prosecuted major felony crimes. Since 2002, Mr. Maillis has been employed at Perantinides & Nolan Co. L.P.A. His practice includes personal injury, legal and medical malpractice, premises liability, products liability, intentional tort, criminal defense, and appellate work. Mr. Maillis is also corporate counsel for several small corporations. Mr. Maillis was recognized in 2007 by Ohio Super Lawyers as a rising star, an honor presented to attorneys under forty years of age who have been selected by their peers for that honor. 
Aside from his law practice Mr. Maillis is a member of the Mahoning County Bar Association and serves on a committee. He was appointed to the City of Campbell Charter Commission by the mayor of the City where he drafted and approved changes to the city charter. Mr. Maillis is a founding member of the Campbell Memorial Alumni Association and is the sponsor of the Michael Elias Maillis scholarship (named after his grandfather).
He is married to the former Celeste Koulianos of Campbell, Ohio and has two children. Mr. Maillis is an avid runner and regular participant in local races and marathons. He has been a frequent presenter at legal seminars on topics related to the handling of personal injury claims for the National Business Institute. -
